Week 14 (Spring Weather!)

The weather has been amazing this past week. I walked outside and I could breathe the fresh air and not wear a coat. It is such a relief feeling like spring is coming. Spring is my favorite season and it seems like each year spring gets shorter and shorter, so I am definitely taking advantage of this weather. Another thing that has been great is the fact that people were outside hanging out and it felt like a lively campus. It has been a while since this campus has felt like that.

Due to the wonderful weather, my family and I took advantage of it and spent the day together on Saturday. My mom, her partner, my grandma, and sister all picked me up and we headed to Starbucks. My mom gets a lot of gift cards from work so it is nice being able to get a treat once in a while. My sister and I split a mocha frappuccino, which was very yummy. We then went to the Morton Arboretum! We have been going there every since I was little. We decided to go on particular day because it was the prime time for the magnolias.

Once we got there, it was beautiful. We spent a lot of time just staring at the flowers blowing in the wind. We took lots of pictures of us in the flowers and of the flowers. I really enjoyed strolling down the path and viewing the magnolias. I am so happy for how nice it was out. Some rain did pass through, but then it went away. We finished the evening by going to a Mexican restaurant called Lima Fresca and ate outside. I got the three taco combo, which was where you pick three different tacos to eat. It was a great way to spend the nice weather. I hope it continues!
